ZwickRoell Runs the World 2022

This year once again, we want to run together for a good cause—the sixth annual ZwickRoell Runs the World challenge starts on July 28th.

Something special to note this year is that in addition to employees and friends, we would like all of our customers to run with us. No matter what country they are in or whether they are a machine operator or a laboratory manager, everyone is welcome to participate.

The challenge begins on July 28th and will last 60 days. Our goal is to collectively run, walk, and hike 180,000 km. This year, participating is easier than ever—all kilometers can be recorded via a web app from ZwickRoell (instruction web app).

Finally, and most importantly: If we reach our goal, ZwickRoell will donate €90,000 to a good cause. Employees and customers can make suggestions for activities/organizations. There is just one condition: the employee or customer must be actively involved in the activity/organization. You can also support initiatives/organizations that provide aid to people experiencing hardships due to the corona virus, or even organizations that find themselves in hardship situations due to the pandemic.

We hope to have many participants so that we reach 180,000 km.

ZwickRoell employees, customers and their families run for a good cause and raise € 65,000 in donations

Under the slogan “ZwickRoell Runs the World 2021”, we have now completed our annual running challenge for the fifth year in a row. This year's participants ran a record distance of over 155,000 km during the 60-day event. In response, we are donating € 65,000 to charitable organizations and initiatives.

Exactly 155,163 km were covered by 900 participants over the course of the challenge. Kilometers earned by jogging, nordic walking, or hiking were recorded and transmitted via an app. ZwickRoell employees, customers, and their families from over 37 countries took part in the worldwide campaign. The goal for the runners was to accumulate as many kilometers as possible for a good cause. The best individual runners managed to run well over 900 km in 60 days.

ZwickRoell is now honoring the impressive efforts of all the participants by donating a total amount of € 65,000, which will be distributed to 25 different organizations across 11 countries. Donation recipients are determined from suggestions made by our employees and customers, who were able to recommend charity projects in which they are actively involved. For example, among this year’s selected organizations are many that work with disadvantaged children.
