Dynamic Cyclic Test Methods 

Cyclic loading is used to test composites to determine the durability of specimens, structural elements, and components. 
  • Since with this type of loading of the laminate, energy is released in the form of heat, it is often possible to test only with very low frequencies of up to approximately 5 Hz. Recording an entire durability curve is therefore very time consuming.
  • ZwickRoell offers load frames with various drive concepts for dynamic testing. Testing machines with electrical linear motor drives are used for lower test loads up to 10 kN. These testing machines, which can generate frequencies up to 100 Hz, are very clean, produce little noise, and require minimum service.
  • Servohydraulic testing machines in various sizes are available for tests with both small and large loads.
