16th testXpo – Asian Forum for Materials Testing

For over 27 years, ZwickRoell’s headquarters in Ulm, Germany has annually transformed itself to hold testXpo–the International Forum for Materials Testing, where visitors can experience materials testing live. For 15 years already, there has been an equivalent to the headquarters’ testXpo event taking place on the other side of the world–the Asian Forum for Materials Testing (AFMT), which presents the latest trends in materials and component testing.

From February 18-22, 2019, the 16th AFMT was held with its focus placed on the medical, automotive, metals, and academia industries as well as on government agencies. Over a five-day period, approximately 724 visitors took the opportunity to attend one of the 16 events offered in 12 locations across India and Bangladesh.

The opening took place on the Don Bosco Tech Campus at the ZwickRoell Academy in Chennai, followed by multiple forums and supplier seminars. Highlights of this year’s AFMT included 24 external speakers covering 88 technical presentations, featuring discussions about the importance of reliable test results  and the latest state-of-the-art methods in materials testing.
