4th ZwickRoell Forum for High-Temperature Testing in Austria

April 9th was the fourth occasion on which the ZwickRoell Forum for High-Temperature Testing took place at Messphysik's premises in Austria. In addition to interesting lectures by national and international experts in research and development and workshops held directly alongside the testing systems on display, participants had the opportunity to exchange their knowledge and experiences in a relaxing atmosphere.

The event showcased Messphysik's expertise in high-temperature testing for 70 customers and potential buyers, together with 35 sales partners and field sales staff from 18 countries.

Thermo-mechanical fatigue testing TMF

The highlights of this year's show included a thermo-mechanical fatigue testing solution for testing aluminum and steel, as well as an intelligent semi-automation solution for testing radioactive materials in hot cells.

For metals, the modular and customized exhibits demonstrated tests with air temperatures up to 1,200°C or 1,500°C and tests in a vacuum and inert gas environment up to 1,200°C. For plastics, testing systems demonstrated tests with air temperatures up to 250°C and a controlled humidity environment from 20°C up to 90°C was also on display with non-contact strain measurement.

In addition to discussing applications with materials testing experts, potential customers were able to discuss individual projects with Messphysik engineers. The previous day’s program included time for recreation and sports in the thermal spa Loipersdorf. The evening was rounded off with an enjoyable evening meal at a traditional tavern and a torch-lit walk.

The success of this year’s forum makes it highly likely that the event will continue next year; watch for announcements regarding next year's dates.
