Testing-machine manufacturer ZwickRoell opens branch in Japan

Global testing-machine market-leader ZwickRoell has established its own sales and service office in Japan. The primary role of the new company, which came into being at the end of July, is to target the growth industries of the world’s third-largest economy.

"The aim of this latest opening is to further enhance the flexibility of our operation in the Japanese market, which we regard as highly important, while at the same time becoming more industry-oriented," explained Dr Jan Stefan Roell, CEO of ZwickRoell AG when discussing this commitment to Japan.

ZwickRoell has already enjoyed ten years of successful activity on the Japanese market in partnership with Tokyo Koki Testing Machine (TKS).  This recently renewed partnership will in future see TKS concentrate on the Japanese steel manufacturer and processor market.  The new company, ZwickRoell Japan Corporation, will be headed by former TAKES Group president Shozo Yamamoto and will undergo continuous expansion to become the leading provider of sales, applications consulting and services.
