Chief Representative Officer

The Chief Representative Officer (CRO) will take overall responsibility of business development activities that directly result in sustainable and profitable business growth aligned to the strategies of the ZwickRoell Group. The CRO is the entrepreneurial driving factor towards a strategic business development role of his/her assigned employees, projects and country. The CRO ensures the sustainable mid- to long-term growth of the partner and his organization, according to the policies, guidelines and shared values of the ZwickRoell Group. The CRO will lead a team of Executives in Sales and Service and will directly report to the Regional Sales Manager SEA of the company.



  • Strategically develop the business of the ZwickRoell Group in Thailand:
  • Management of representative office and support in the daily operations.

  • Actively identify and research appropriate markets for the alignment of ZRG products and growth potentials by industries and applications.
  • Analyse, propose and coordinate sustainable targets and measures to develop the market of the assigned countries regularly.
  • Represent the company through external as well as internal networks, meetings, exhibitions and conferences.
  • Take initiative through all actions to increase market share, brand recognition and partner profile.
  • Continual monitoring and research of territory / market / industry initiatives.
  • Perform sales reporting system with the headquarters in Singapore and keep close communication in all questions around sales and after-sales service and maintenance.
  • Finding contacts, leads and creating new customers, follow up and close customers’ projects and, care for existing customers.
  • Systematic marketing activities in the territory; organisation of exhibitions, seminars and similar marketing events.
  • Prepare and present significant business development concepts as well as strategic and operational approaches to the ZwickRoell Singapore (ZRSG) Management for review, discussion, approval and final release.
  • Implement, lead, coordinate and actively manage released business plan in the assigned market.
  • Conduct technical and application seminars in coordination with partners and ZwickRoell Group experts according to the ZwickRoell Forum, ZwickRoell Symposium and testXpo concepts.
  • Quarterly review of order entry (sales controlling) versus budget and forecast and pro-active advice partners and ZwickRoell Singapure management on measures to overcome the order entry gap, if any.
  • Prioritize the business development activities according to WIN2020 concept of ZwickRoell Asia.
  • Ensure yourself and team members are participating regularly in the important company events and training programs, especially: International Sales Conference, International Sales Training and testXpo/International Forum for Materials Testing, Asia Sales Training, Asian Service Training, Asian Forum for Materials Training), ZRSG Sales Partner Meeting, Asian Service Manager Forum, ZwickRoell Ulm/ZRSG Training Weeks, TopSell.

  • Regularly support ZRSG in the complete sales process:
  • Actively drive regional marketing and lead finding activities.
  • Regular and close project follow-up. Review and actively work on opportunities and consult partners.
  • Enable partners to provide appropriate and complete standard and customized quotations.
  • Actively support in clarifying application issues and provide technical solutions.
  • Meet customers in the case of customized and complex projects to better understand the requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Liaise with ZRSG counterparts to address complex technical, commercial, logistic requirements as well as 2nd country business.
  • Support in the final negotiation and discount application process.
  • Review final quotations prepared by partners to release to customers.
  • Review and clarify received orders on every technical and commercial aspect.
  • Prepare order for order processing then hand-over order with completed documents to ZRSG.
  • Assure all necessary information in CRM system are provided and workflow is completed.
  • Follow with logistics department for delivery timelines and complete deliveries and, communicate on request with partners and customers.
  • Handling deviations in delivery with appropriate communication and solutions until the Final Acceptance Test plus a grace period of 4 weeks has been achieved.
  • Support the ZRSG logistics, finance and service departments on request until all outstanding issues and payments has been received.
Requirement description
  • Bachelor Degree in mechanical / automation / electronics / material science / metallurgy
  • Master Degree in sales and marketing, international business or communication would be advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a product manager, sales manager or business development manager in the field of materials testing / material instruments / material science or complex technical investment goods
  • Knowledge of Asian markets and driving factors in related economies and industries
  • An entrepreneur by heart; strong in establishing new structures and having a large network of contacts around the country in different industries
  • Knowledge of materials testing industries and application would be advantageous
  • Strategical, conceptual and target-driven personality
  • Superior communication, presentation and project management skills
  • Self-motivated professional with strong work ethics
  • Ability to understand complex technical issues quickly and communicate them in generally comprehensive way

  • Proficiency in English and Thai language
  • Proficiency in German language would be advantageous
  • 70% travel requirement
