testXpo 2023: Join Us in Germany!
ZwickRoell North America is excited to be preparing for the 31st annual International testXpo event in beautiful Ulm, Germany.
This industry gathering is a great opportunity to learn and share with materials and components testing professionals from around the globe—and you are invited!

What is testXpo?
testXpo is short for “International Expo for Materials Testing.” This year marks the 31st annual event. Attendance is free, and attendees are welcome to bring a spouse for an additional $500 fee.
Guests are only responsible for airfare costs and for any meals outside of the official event / planned itinerary. ZwickRoell will cover hotel expenses between October 15-20. We will also cover costs for transportation to and from the event and for planned activities included in the itinerary, in addition to transportation to and from the airport in Germany.
This year’s event will feature:
- A chance to see the latest materials and components testing solutions up close at 200+ different exhibits located throughout 3,500 m2 of event space. Guests are free to tour the exhibition individually, and we also offer guided tours.
- Opportunities to learn about the latest trends in quality assurance, testing, and R&D through a vast selection of presentations from industry experts. Sessions will be held in both English and German.
- Networking events featuring great food from the heart of Europe and a chance to chat with ZwickRoell product developers and colleagues from around the globe.
Discussions will center on topics such as automation, boosting efficiency, and digitalization across a variety of general and industry-specific presentations. The program will include coverage of specialized testing areas such as hydrogen fuel cells, the mechanical testing of lithium-ion batteries, and wearable medical devices.
When is testXpo 2023?
This year’s event will be held from October 16-19.
The exhibition hall will open at 9 AM each day, with presentations from 9:30 to 11:30, a break for lunch (provided onsite in a covered outdoor space), and an additional round of presentations from 1:30 to 3:30.
Where is testXpo 2023?
testXpo is held at the ZwickRoell headquarters in Ulm, Germany, located on the Danube River near the border between the German states of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.
Ulm melds historic charm with a bustling modern cityscape featuring many famous museums, gardens, parks, and theaters. Founded in 850, Ulm is famous for attractions such as the tallest church steeple in the world, a scenic walking path along the largest town wall in Germany, and a variety of other historic structures. The German National Tourist Board provides a helpful guide to some of the top sites in the city here.
The nearest airports to Ulm are:
- Stuttgart, 60 miles away, with train or shuttle transportation available.
- Munich, 90 miles away, with train or shuttle transportation available.
Frankfurt, 180 miles away, with train transportation available.
