Who can participate?
Any author of a scientific paper (no matter if she/he is still at the university).
What scientific works can be submitted?
You can participate with nearly every work, e.g. research or conference articles, posters and scientific papers (published or in preparation). You can submit more than one work.
What kind of document should I send if I want to participate?
The paper (max. 15 pages), conference article or poster, a short CV and if available pictures and/or videos.
What kind of document should I send if my work is a graduation thesis?
As our panel of judges is not able to read a full thesis, a paper is always preferred. If the author is able to make a summary in English of not more than 10 pages summarizing the “materials testing” part of the thesis it will be accepted too.
Can I only participate when a ZwickRoell testing machines was used?
No, every brand of materials testing machines can be used in the scientific work.
How old can the paper be?
If the content of your work is still valid, the age of the publication is not important.
How will the winners be determined?
A jury (1 ZwickRoell employee, 3 professors) will nominate the winners.

ZwickRoell Science Award - Oxford University
In Oxford machen sich Wissenschaftler Gedanken über den Werkstoff Seide. Neben den hochinteressanten mechanischen Eigenschaften der Seide steht aber auch die Gewinnung derselben im Fokus.
