N3 - simple Rockwell hardness test

The N3 Rockwell hardness tester is ideal for simple and quick Rockwell tests in accordance with ISO 6508 and ASTM E18. It is also possible to test Brinell (HBT) and Vickers (HVT) using the differential depth method. The instrument is characterized by high precision and reliability and is ideal for workshop use. Thanks to its compact design and the absence of electronic components (no power supply required), it can be set up and used with a high level of flexibility. It is suitable for all sectors of the metalworking industry.

The load is applied with a 180° pivoting hand lever, which can be operated safely and effortlessly even when wearing work gloves.

Replaceable spring sleeve system

The N1A unit with replaceable spring sleeves is used for different load levels (spring sleeves with different load levels).

Analog dial gauge

With the N3A hardness tester, the measured value is displayed via an analog dial gauge. Three color scales are printed on the dial. Depending on the selected test method and test load, the hardness value is read off the scale.

Testing with and without gripping

Gripping the specimen prevents movement during the test procedure. The nose cone can be removed when testing hard-to-reach areas so that the measurements can be carried out without gripping. Both methods lead to reliable test results.

Hardness test methods

In addition to the entire Rockwell range, the N3A also covers the Brinell and Vickers methods in depth in a load range of 15-187.5 kg.
Carbon testing is also possible.
