ZwickRoell modernises testing machine for ski equipment manufacturer

Whether travelling at 140 km/h on the world's most difficult downhill course in Kitzbühel, at the Freeski Worldcup, at Mont Blanc or powder snow skiing in the Rocky Mountains, the demand for safety, reliability and functionality in ski equipment is constantly increasing. The leading manufacturer of innovative binding systems, Marker, relies on ZwickRoell as its trusted partner when it comes to quality assurance.

Regardless of whether it is the “Streif” champion Dominik Paris or an ambitious hobby skier, both must be able to totally rely on their ski equipmen. For this reason, Marker has continuously invested in the areas of quality assurance and product development at its development facility in the Bavarian town of Penzberg.

Marker commissioned ZwickRoell to modernise a servo-hydraulic test stand to ensure it was suitably equipped to accommodate future testing requirements as well as making system operation easier whilst increasing flexibility. ZwickRoell modernised the testing system with Control Cube digital measurement and control electronics. To ensure long term reliability, ZwickRoell also overhauled the Schenck actuator and serviced the existing hydraulic power unit.
Using Cubus software, different test sequences can now be defined and easily implemented. For one partucular test, a ski segment was gripped in the testing machine allowing the ski binding to be cyclically loaded.

Why not contact ZwickRoell to discuss how we can transform the operation of your testing machine and improve long term reliability?
