Trifecta of Solutions for Catheter Testing – Smooth. Strong. Steerable

In this webinar, you will learn

  • How catheter testing requirements range from simple to complex and typically fall into 3 different categories
    • Tensile Testing: Basic mechanical tests used to evaluate breaking force, bond integrity, elongation, and the mechanical properties of catheter components and materials.
    • Lubricity Testing: Evaluates coating performance and friction characteristics to support smooth catheter deployment and navigation.
    • Horizontal Testing in Simulated Use: Assesses catheter performance under realistic use conditions using specialized test systems that replicate clinical use scenarios.
  • How modular test solutions and specialized functionality support testing across all three levels.

Benefits

  • Cover the complete testing journey: From basic mechanical tests to advanced simulated use testing.
  • Test closer to clinical use: Reproduce advancement, push&twizzle and withdrawal under realistic conditions.
  • Improve reproducibility without sacrificing flexibility: Reduce external influences through controlled test conditions and precise measurement.
  • Find the right test setup: Select suitable systems and fixtures for different catheter testing needs.

Target group

  • Medical device and catheter development specialists
  • R&D and product development engineers
  • Laboratory managers and professionals involved in verification and validation
  • Test engineers and technicians
