Ensure repeatable and reliable rubber testing

Forace faced the challenge of achieving consistent and repeatable results in tensile, tear growth and adhesion tests on rubber and wire materials. Manual testing methods did not provide the precision and repeatability required for high quality standards in production. The company needed a solution that would enable accurate, automated and standardized testing according to ASTM requirements and improve product reliability.

 

The ZwickRoell solution

Automatic extensometer and universal testing machine for reliable rubber testing

ZwickRoell supplied Forace with a 5 kN two-column universal testing machine (UTM) equipped with a fully automatic long-travel extensometer that allows measurements up to 1000 mm. The system includes pneumatic grips with oxide ceramic jaws for pull-out tests on wires and offers a high-accuracy travel measurement of ±2 micrometers. The software-controlled solution ensures safe and user-friendly operation. The on-site calibration within the NABL area of application was performed by ZwickRoell engineers and ensures conformity and traceability.
