Orinko Advanced Plastics Co., Ltd
Orinko Advanced Plastics Co., Ltd. is one of the largest modified plastics companies in China and was the first company in its industry on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. Its portfolio includes modified new materials, specialty engineering plastics, sustainable high-performance PCR materials and multifunctional membrane materials. The products are used in key industries such as automotive, household appliances, new energies, consumer electronics, electrical engineering, AI, medical engineering, rail transport, and construction and security technology.
Modernization of HDT and Vicat testing technology: Tests to ISO 75-1 and ISO 306
Increasing demands on thermal performance characteristics and stricter quality specifications of international customers required a modernization of the existing testing technology. Orinko chose the ZwickRoell Amsler HDT/Vicat Allround 6-300 to take research & development, production monitoring and raw material testing to a new level.
The system enables precise measurements of heat deflection temperature (HDT) and Vicat softening temperature (VST) to ISO 75-1 and ISO 306. High-precision digital displacement transducers provide exact deformation data, while the temperature control goes beyond the standard requirements. The simultaneous performance of HDT and Vicat tests without mutual influence now improves and doubles efficiency.
With the introduction of the system, Orinko was able to solve three main challenges: excessively long test times, inaccurate test results, and fragmented data structures. The integration of the testXpert III software ensures standardized, transparent and fully traceable test results.
“ZwickRoell’s six-station HDT/Vicat testing machine has helped us simultaneously address three key challenges: slow test sequences, inaccurate measurements, and scattered data. This gave us a clear competitive advantage in the field of high-performance modified plastics.”
