ThyssenKrupp Presta AG is one of the world's most successful manufacturers of steering systems and is a technology leader in the field of massive forming. This leading position is largely due to its innovative and future-oriented approach to product development. In order to further expand this position, ThyssenKrupp Presta opted for a dynamic testing machine from ZwickRoell for its location in Eschen (Liechtenstein).
As part of its product development, ThyssenKrupp Presta will use the new testing machine for performing cyclic tests on swivel levers. The goal of the test is to determine the stiffness and change in stiffness of a component during the test time according to a specified cyclic test profile. It also determines the settlement of a rubber stop during the test time.
The drive for the LTM 10 (Fmax 10 kN) is based on linear motor technology, which means no hydraulic infrastructure is required for operation. Thanks to the testXpert R testing software, test sequences can be configured at anytime. Additionally, static tensile, compression, and flexure tests can be performed with the testing machine.
