The Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) in Poland trusts in testing technology from ZwickRoell

In response to market requirements in the field of laboratory test services, the Office of Technical Inspection introduces a new research laboratory based in Warsaw, Poland. ZwickRoell has the pleasure and honor to be the supplier of destructive testing instruments, including the Z600ES universal testing machine, the RKP450 pendulum impact tester and the ZHU2.5 zwickiLine universal hardness tester. These instruments are used to test the strength properties of metal materials in static tensile tests, bending tests, breaking tests, Charpy impact tests and Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers hardness tests. The laboratory’s primary area of activity is the provision of welding research in the qualification of welding technology. In addition, tests are performed on fastening elements such as screws.

New fatigue testing machine for the University of Freiburg

At the Department of Sustainable Systems Engineering (INATECH) at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg, engineering solutions are sought in the context of current challenges in sustainable development. The main areas of focus currently include sustainable materials, energy systems and the resilience of technical systems. High-precision and flexible testing of electroformed spring elements

Sigrist GmbH, headquartered in Pforzheim, Germany manufactures electroformed spring elements for the aerospace, medical and semiconductor industries. These components are high-precision, flexible or spring-like, and consist of an electroplated layer with a functional wall thickness of 0.015 to 0.1 mm. When compressing and relaxing the components, a life expectancy of sometimes more than 100 million cycles is expected without a significant change in the spring rate, e.g. when being used with automatic circuit board assembly machines (pick and place).
