The roboTest I robotic testing system automates temperature conditioning, feeding and impact tests in Charpy or Izod method, on metal or plastic specimens.

roboTest I Specimen Feeding

A specimen slide carrier facilitates insertion and removal of specimens into/from the temperature conditioning unit, either manually (semi automatic version) or automatically (fully automatic version).

Fully automatic version with pendulum impact tester 25 joules or 50 joules (HIT25/50):

  • roboTest I (impact) temperature conditioning and feed unit with capacity for 10 specimens in the temperature conditioning unit and integrated magazine for 100 specimens.

Semi automatic version with pendulum impact tester 450 joules or 750 joules (HIT450P/PSW750):

  • roboTest I (impact) temperature conditioning and feed unit with capacity for 10 specimens (optionally 21 specimens) in the temperature conditioning unit.

Fully automatic version with pendulum impact tester 750 joules (PSW750):

  • roboTest I (impact) temperature conditioning and feed unit with capacity for 10 specimens (optionally 21 specimens) in the temperature conditioning unit and integrated magazine typically for 90 specimens.

roboTest I Robotic Testing System for Metals

The roboTest I (impact) robotic testing system is used for semi or fully automatic temperature conditioning, feeding, and impact testing of Charpy specimens to ISO 148 or ASTM E23 in a temperature range of -180 to +300 °C (optionally up to +600 °C).

  • The system can be added to 450 joules or 750 joules pendulum impact testers.
  • A specimen slide carrier facilitates insertion and removal of specimens into/from the temperature conditioning unit, either manually (semi automatic version) or automatically (fully automatic version).
  • Semi-automatic version with 450 or 750 J pendulum impact tester: roboTest I (impact) temperature conditioning and feed unit with capacity for 10 specimens (optionally 21 specimens) in the temperature conditioning unit.
  • Fully automatic version with 750 J pendulum impact tester: roboTest I (impact) temperature conditioning and feed unit with capacity for 10 specimens (optionally 21 specimens) in the temperature conditioning unit and integrated magazine typically for 90 specimens.
  • The impact test is performed within 5 seconds of removing the specimen from the temperature conditioning unit.
  • Optional components including a barcode reader (2D) and HOST connection complete the system.

roboTest I Robotic Testing System for Plastics

The roboTest I (impact) robotic testing system is used for fully automatic temperature conditioning, feeding and testing of Charpy specimens to ISO 179 or ASTM D256, and optionally Izod specimens to ISO 180 and ASTM E23 in a temperature range of -80 to +100 °C.

  • The system is mounted to 25 joule or 50 joule (HIT25/HIT50) pendulum impact testers with motorized pendulum hammer lift.
  • A stacking magazine outside of the furnace can hold 100 specimens.
  • The furnace can temper (condition) 10 specimens.
  • Specimen slide carriers facilitate insertion and removal of specimens into/from the temperature conditioning unit. These are actuated automatically.
  • The impact test is performed within 5 seconds of removing the specimen from the temperature conditioning unit.
  • Optional components including a barcode reader (2D) and HOST connection complete the system.
