Understanding their material characteristics is essential for design engineers and people who use these materials. Material characteristics are obtained from mechanical-technological materials testing, whereby materials testing machines load the materials until they fail. The standard stipulates the general requirements for test methods used to determine characteristics. ZwickRoell materials testing machines are equipped to fulfill these requirements and to meet customer specifications. Flat products are finished products or semi-finished products with a high width-to-thickness ratio.
