Rope Grips
Fmax 2.5 kN
Fmax 2.5 kN
Advantages and features
Function description
The rope grips can be used for testing dimensionally unstable tensile specimens.
The closing force is generated via rope friction and knotting or wrapping. The specimen's tensile stress is largely reduced via friction on the load reduction roller.
The specimen is automatically centered on insertion by the predetermined groove in the load reduction roller.
Advantages and features
Function description
The rope grips can be used for testing dimensionally unstable tensile specimens.
The specimen is passed around the load reduction roller one or more times. The resulting frictional force reduces the tensile stress before the screw clamp at the end of the specimen to the extent that jaw breaks are avoided.
The specimen is automatically centered on insertion by the predetermined groove in the load reduction roller.
Advantages and features
Function description
The rope grips can be used for testing dimensionally unstable tensile specimens.
The carrier plate, load reduction rollers, end clamping and jaws are compiled.
The specimen is ergonomically and material sparingly wrapped around the load reduction rollers, only touching the ends of the specimen materials. This type of wrapping is particularly suited for very sensitive surfaces.
The specimen's tensile stress is largely reduced via frictional contact on the load reduction roller. Specimen ends are mechanically gripped via a screw end clamping (with force amplification if required) or hydraulic clamping element.
The specimen is automatically centered on insertion by the predetermined groove in the load reduction roller.
Advantages and features
Function description
The rope grips can be used for testing dimensionally unstable tensile specimens.
The specimen is wound around the load reduction roller once or several times. The resulting frictional force reduces the tensile stress before the wedge clamping at the end of the specimen to such an extent that jaw breaks are avoided.
Advantages and features
Function description
The rope grips can be used for testing dimensionally unstable tensile specimens.
Three different load reduction rollers are available together with various jaw inserts.
The specimen is passed around the load reduction roller one or more times. The resulting frictional force reduces the tensile stress before the hydraulic clamp at the end of the rope sufficiently to avoid jaw breaks.
Specimen grips for ropes are available from Fmax 2.5 kN to Fmax 100 kN test loads.
